They sold out their last event at the kitchen and now we got them back!!!
Blues singer Donna Herula is a slashing slide guitarist and Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee. Her songwriting tips a hat to the Delta tradition while creating a fresh woman’s perspective in blues and roots music. She will be joined by her touring band with Tony Wittrock on guitar/mandolin/banjo & Marc Edelstein on upright bass.
Donna’s recent album "Bang at the Door" received rave reviews from critics world-wide and was on numerous “Best Album Of The Year lists. Awards and recognition include:
“…it’s the best acoustic blues and roots album I’ve heard in at least a year, if not longer. It’s a wonderful mix of Delta and Chicago blues with some great folky overtones. I don’t think I can pick out a favorite cut here because they are all superb.” — Steve Jones, Chicago Blues Guide
We will start out the evening with a music set, drinks and fellowship, then on to some down home Southern cooking with hush puppies and a remoulade dipping sauce, chicken gumbo with fried okra garnish and shrimp and grits. And of course we will finish off the evening with a sweet southern treat of Chef Pam's homemade toasted coconut, Key Lime tart followed by another set from the Donna Herula trio.
This is a premium event and tickets are strictly limed to 60 seats.
