Chef Pam is excited to share her love for everything German as we will celebrate Oktoberfest together. She was deployed to Germany for 13 months where she fell in love with their cuisine … especially the schnitzel! We will start out the evening making kartoffelpuffers, the traditional potato pancakes. Cucumber salat will be another course for a taste of the German cuisine. Then on to preparing Jaegerschnitzel, referred to as the ‘Hunter’s cutlet” made with a brown, mushroom gravy on a pounded out pork cutlet. The schnitzel will be accompanied by a warm red cabbage side. To finish off the evening with a little something sweet; we will bake individual German chocolate cakes. And of course, German beer will be for purchase to further celebrate Oktoberfest.
